PLED is an emissive technology, i.e. it emits light as a function of its electrical operation.
A PLED display does not require the use of backlights or colour filters.
PLED technology is very energy efficient and lends itself to the creation of ultra-thin lighting panels and displays that will operate at lower voltages.
