Sumation produces Light-Emitting Polymers (LEPs) that emit light in the red, green, blue and white regions of the visible spectrum. The exact wavelength of emission can be varied by varying polymer structure. Individual polymers can be used in monochrome displays and combinations of green, red, and blue polymers can be used in multi-colour and full-colour passive and active matrix displays.

Several commercial grades of red, green and blue Lumation ^TM polymers are now available.

Lumation polymers are soluble in a wide range of solvents including, but not limited to, toluene and xylene. Our materials and solutions are robust to light and oxygen and exhibit excellent shelf-life storage stability.

Ink Formulation, Filtration and Packaging

Our formulation, filtration and packaging capabilities are designed to ensure the delivery of high purity inks that meet the exact specifications of each of our customers.

Since Lumation ^TM Light-Emitting Polymers can be dissolved in many different solvents and solvent combinations, a wide range of ink formulation options are available. Our know-how and expertise in formulation, allows us to deliver inks with processing and performance properties precisely matched to different customer applications and deposition techniques.

We filter, package and label our products inside a clean room. Sub-micron filtration helps us meet exacting purity requirements for trace metals, particulates and other potential contaminants.

Filtered inks are packaged into low-particulate containers and can be supplied in 1, 2 or 4 litre units. Containers are double bagged before removal from the clean room.

All materials undergo rigorous testing and Quality Assurance inspections before leaving our production site.
