Dr Scott Brown joined CDT in May 2002. When Sumation was formed, Dr Brown relocated to Tokyo as a member of the senior management team. His current position is Executive Vice President for the joint venture.
Previously Scott worked for Dow Corning Corporation, joining them in 1987 as a Research Scientist. During his early career, he gained broad experience, managing pan-European research and development teams. He is familiar with the challenges of a manufacturing environment, having spent two years at Dow Corning's manufacturing site in Carrollton, Kentucky. In 1999, Dr Brown moved to Midland, Michigan to take the position of Global Research & Development Director for Dow Corning's Electronics Business, managing teams in Europe, Japan, and the USA.
Dr Brown has a BSc and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Exeter and an MBA from Oxford Brookes University.
