Sumation R&D is conducted both in the UK at our Greenwich House site and in Japan at our Tsukuba facility. Our R&D activities are focused on developing solution-processable fluorescent and phosphorescent materials for commercial use in numerous applications, including lighting.

Our R&D organisation, which is more than 70 researchers strong, has a optimum balance of skills and capabilities, including synthetic chemistry, material science, polymer science, analytical, physics and modelling. Our staff have been carefully selected from large and small company backgrounds and have experience in fine chemical and electronic materials development.
